Funeral services for Ms. Johnnie Sean Ware will be at noon on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Seventeenth Street Missionary Baptist Church. Ervin Funeral Chapel, L.L.C. will be directing. Burial will be at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The remains will be at the church one hour prior to the services. Public visitation will commence today from noon until 8:30 p.m., and the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Ware departed this life on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. She was a distinguished educator and leader who devoted 37 years to the children in the Anniston City School system teaching Music and English. Ms. Ware will be remembered by many for her style of playing the piano, which was deliberate and original, yet graceful. She had a style that cannot be duplicated. Ms. Ware was the eldest of 12 children born to the late John Edward and V. Marie Ware. She is survived by six sisters, Vonnie W. Fleming, Jo Ann Ware, Julie E. Ware, Negretta Ware-Wilson, all of Anniston, Laura (John) Ware-Jacobs, of Gadsden, and Mary W. (Perry) Register, of Sumter, S.C.; four brothers, Schuessler L. (Kim) Ware, of Anniston, Dr. Lawrence R. (Dr. Anna) Ware, of Gadsden, James E. Ware of Selma, and Attorney Charles J. (Fran) Ware, of Columbia, Md.; one aunt, Josiephine Wills, of Gadsden, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
