Annie M. Ware Obituary, 2000

DOVER – Annie M. Ware of Dover died Monday, June 5, 2000, in her daughter’s home in Richmond, Va. She was 91. Mrs. Ware was born on Oct. 26, 1908, in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, the daughter of the late John and Alice Ashton McClelland. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who also cared for neighborhood children. Mrs. Ware enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking for her family and friends, and praising the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Ware, on Jan. 24, 1994. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Buddy Reed of Felton, and Ardela and Michael Peters of Richmond; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Margaret Ware of Hebron, Md., Ira and Virginia Ware of Felton and Richard and Norma Ware of Dover; two brothers, Ira Ashton of Smyrna and George McClelland of Felton; a wonderful and caring nurse, Sherry Sims of Richmond; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. today at Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where the Rev. Tim Brendle of Richmond will officiate. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover.
