Jacqueline Elizabeth Ware Hall Obituary, 2010

VACAVILLE, Calif. – Jacqueline Elizabeth Ware Hall, born Jan. 28, 1922, died July 14, 2010, at the age of 88, in Vacaville, after a short illness. A long time resident of Felton, Del., she managed Hillcrest Farm near Bowers Beach and the Link farm near Frederica, with her husband of 48 years, Lister V. Hall, Jr. (deceased June, 1990). She is survived by her children, Ann Evers of Vacaville, Calif., Rita (Alexander) Purcell of Oakland, Calif., and William Hall of Bowers Beach Del., a son, John Lister Hall of Newark Del., preceded her in death. Her nine grandchildren, Adam Purcell, Susan Evers and Mike Evers of San Francisco, Calif., Alison Purcell O’Dowd of Arcata, Calif., Shari Bucci of Townsend, Del., Michelle Colantonio of Middletown, Del., Michael Hall of Newark Del., Arin Warner and Andrew Hall of Bowers Beach, Del., have many fond memories of “Mom Mom.” Four great-grandchildren, Alexandra Bucci, Courtney Colantonio, Xander Hall (Smyrna, Tennessee) and Bryce Warner will grow up without enjoying her delicious recipe for Doc Martin lima beans and corn succotash. Jacque was the oldest of 8 children born to John T. and Elizabeth Ware of Felton DE. “Dudie” is survived by her dear siblings: Margaret (and Charles) Ware, Ruth Kemp, Jean Kish and Vincent (and Anne) Ware. Jacque was active in the Paradise 4-H Club, the Felton Grange, NARFE (Nat. Assn. of Retired Federal Employees) and the Frederica Senior Center. During the 4 years she lived in CA, she joined in many family gatherings and enjoyed her weekly movie outing.
