CRESAPTOWN — Joan Marie (Robison) Ware, 78, of Cresaptown, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at her home. Born Jan. 10, 1935, in Cumberland, Mrs. Ware was the daughter of the late James Edward Robison and Loretta Marie (Maier) Robison. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Charles Kenneth Ware Sr. on Jan. 6, 1996; a son, Ronald Alan Ware, on March 25, 2013; a brother, Ronald Robison and a sister, Joy Adams. A homemaker, Joan was a graduate of Allegany High School and previously employed at Braddock Motor Inn. She was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles Aerie 2883 Ladies Auxiliary where she was very active. Joan spent the last several years watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan is survived by her daughters, Sharon M. Purcell and partner Troy York and Kelly A. Ware, all of Cresaptown; and her son, Charles K. Ware Jr. and wife Cathy, of Cumberland. She also leaves behind her brothers, James Robison and wife Martha and Robert Robison and wife Michelle, all of Cumberland, as well as four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Harold McClay Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
