BELMONT – Lily Ware, 80, of Brown Hill Road, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. Mrs. Ware was the widow of Alan R. Ware, who died in 1971. Mrs. Ware was born March 14, 1928, in London, the daughter of Frank and Edith (Clappington) Judd. While living in England, Mrs. Ware was employed by the government. In 1974, she moved to Belmont, where she was employed as a waitress at various local restaurants. Lily also worked in housekeeping at Lakes Region General Hospital and Christmas Island Resort. Mrs. Ware attended the Faith Community Bible Church in Loudon. Mrs. Ware is survived by a son, Melvyn R. Ware and his wife, Debbie, of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Janet Jones and her husband, Larry, and Christine Harris and her companion, Bruce Fletcher, all of Belmont; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ware was predeceased by a son-in-law, Lyn Newell; four sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Jessica Ogley. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of her life will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Grace Presbyterian Church, 174 Province St., Laconia. Mrs. Ware’s oldest grandson, the Rev. Ted Ogley of Colorado, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jeff Owen, pastor of the Faith Community Bible Church of Loudon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Faith Community Bible Church, Youth Group, 334 N. Village Road, Loudon 03307.
