LEWES – Robert L. Ware of Lewes, formerly of Gaithersburg, Md., died of complications of cancer Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, in Lewes Convalescent Center in Lewes. He was 79. Mr. Ware was born in Washington, D.C., son of the late Eugene and Frances (Binns) Ware. He had been employed as a bus driver for the U.S. Soldiers Home in Washington for 25 years, retiring in 1972. He then worked in security for the Asbury Methodist Retirement Home in Washington for 10 years. Mr. Ware was a member of Naval Lodge 4 of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons in Washington, where he met his future wife. He is survived by his wife, Jean Lucille (Catterton) Ware; a sister, Geraldine R. Reza of Hyattsville, Md.; and a brother, John L. Ware of Rehoboth Beach. Services will be at the conclusion of Masonic services Friday in Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 1449 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. and Masonic services will begin at 7 p.m. The Rev. William Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Md.
