GALENA, Ill. – Luella F. Ware, 85, of Galena, died Saturday, July 12, 1997, at the Galena-Stauss Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena, with the Rev. Dan Tranel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where there will be a rosary at 4 p.m. She was born on Jan. 17, 1912, in Rice Township, Galena, daughter of Henry and Lena (Reitz) Dankbar. She married Louis H. Ware on Aug. 20, 1932, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena; he died on June 6, 1992. Surviving are a son, Duane (Shirley) Ware, of Dubuque; a daughter, Mary Ann Michl, of Mount Carroll; and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters; a granddaughter, Mona Pickel; and three great-grandsons, Kyle Ware, Christopher Pickel, and Justin Ware.
