Mary E. Ware Milner Obituary 2011

BANGOR – Mary E. Ware Milner, 98, died peacefully Dec. 30, 2011. She was born Sept. 9, 1913, in Calais, daughter of Russell I. and Agnes (McFarland) Mograge. Mary graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1931 and attended Eastern State Normal School, Castine. In 1933, she married Frank Ware who passed away in 1973. Mary later married George Milner, in 1976. Mary was a member of Red Cross Gray Ladies and Tuscan Chapter No. 148 Order of the Eastern Star, Bangor. She is survived by a son, Russell Ware and his wife, Linda, of Charleston, S.C.; daughter, Elizabeth Bearor and her husband, Richard, of Westbrook; and daughter-in-law, Carol Ware of Bangor. Mary has 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Frank and George; and her oldest son, Theodore Ware. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 10 a.m. until time of funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Susan Davenport, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Bangor, officiating. Interment will be at Castine Cemetery.
