James Ware, 80, of 213 Croly St., Syracuse, died Monday. Born in Atkins, S.C., he attended South Carolina public schools. He had worked at Crouse Hinds Co. and was a truck driver for the Salvation Army. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: His companion, Henrietta Robinson; a daughter, Clara Katyal of Silver Springs, Md.; two sons, James Jr. of Clifton, Md., and Greg of Maryland; a sister, Jessie Lancaster of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, Daniel of Capitol Heights, Md., Meady of Washington, D.C., and Loman of Atkins; six grandchildren. Services and burial: Private. Edwin L. Cole Funeral Home, Syracuse, has arrangements.
