Jean Elizabeth Miller Ware, 71, of 229 Nichols Ave., died Sunday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Mrs. Ware was a native of East Syracuse and lived in the Syracuse area all her life. She retired several years ago after 26 years with Rogers and Stafford Insurance agency. Mrs. Ware was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society, Golden Agers and Post-Cana group. She was also a member of St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary and was a volunteer at the hospital many years. Mrs. Ware was a graduate of East Syracuse High School and Central City Business Institute. She was the widow of William T. Ware who died in 1976. Surviving are two sons, William and Gregory Ware, both of Syracuse; and several cousins. Services will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and 9:45 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 3111 James St. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
