Joyce Ann McMillan Todd Ware Obituary, 2005

Joyce Ann McMillan Todd Ware, born January 27, 1934, in Inglewood, CA, left this Earth on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005. She was the daughter of Dorothy McMillan Swarbrick and Perry A. McMillan. Per her wishes, her ashes were scattered at sea. Jo Mama, as she was lovingly known by family and friends, had made Apple Valley her home for the past 8 years, never far from her constant companion and best friend, her dog, Humphrey. She spent her life throughout the western United States, touching other peoples lives with her outgoing spirit and friendliness. She cherished her children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her friends, golfing, traveling, but most of all, her walks with her dog. Jo retired from HAFB in Utah, and worked in many other occupations throughout her life. Jo is survived by five children, Debra (Bob) Hanusek Victorville, CA., Marsha Hawkins and Nora (Herb) Tannert both of Apple Valley, CA., John (Annette) Todd Chino Hills, CA., Cory (Joy) Todd Marysville, BC, Canada, 20 grandkids and 25 great-grandkids, a sister Barbara (Stan) Unck, Roy, Utah, nephews, cousins and an uncle, her former husband, James Ware Tucson, AZ. Her former husband, John W. Todd passed in August of 2002. If you knew her, you knew a woman of spirit and might, with strength known by few. OH HOW WE SHALL MISS YOU, MOM!
