Pearl Rebecca Ware Davis, 89, died Thursday, October 11, 1990 at the South Valley Care Center in West Jordan from complications from pneumonia. She was born April 13, 1901 in Downey, Idaho; daughter of Daniel and Edith Dianna Bloxham Ware. She married Edwin Franklin Davis, April 3, 1918 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 6, 1964. She and her husband had operated the Davis Dairy & Cleaners and the Marsh Valley Peat Co. in Downey from 1948-1964. She and her son Dale continued the Peat operation until 1989. She and her husband had been active in missionary work; she had served many years as Primary President in Downey; and organist for the ward and for the Portneuf Stake Relief Society. She had served as president of Downey Elementary PTA for many years. She is survived by two sons, E. Reese Davis, South Jordan; D. Dale Davis, Downey, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar L. (Marian E.) Denney, Salt Lake; Mrs. J. Blair (Carol) Jones, Bountiful; one sister, Edna E. Lundgren, Shelly, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 1990 at 12 noon in the Downey Idaho LDS Ward Chapel; friends may call at the Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo, Idaho, Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the church on Monday one hour prior to service. Interment in the Downey Idaho Cemetery.
