George Watson Ware Obituary

George W. Ware, 80, of El Dorado, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at his residence. Born Dec. 15, 1932, in Atlanta, Ark., he was the son of George Franklin and Marjorie Burdine Ware. Mr. Ware was a farmer and logger and was the owner of Ware Timber Company. He was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Marine Corps. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Peggy Jo Roberts Ware; and a brother, Leo Ware. Survivors include two sons, Kim Ware (Morgan), of Houston, Texas, and Steve Ware, of Crossett; and a daughter, Lisa Anthony (Russ), of El Dorado. Also surviving is a brother, Harvey Wa r e (Patsy), of Atlanta; and a sister, Shirley Adcox (Bill), of Ruston, La., along with grandchildren, David Anthony, of El Dorado, Valerie Foster (Sterling), of St. Louis, Mo., Haley Anthony, of Siloam Springs, and Michelle Jones, of El Dorado. Great-grandchildren are Ariel Jones, Lilli Jones and Sterling Foster Jr. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Three Creeks Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Kimball officiating. Interment will follow in Atlanta Baptist Cemetery at Atlanta, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. this evening at Young’s.
