Julia May Ridgway Ware, 86, of 822 Ridgway Drive, Owensboro, died Monday at the Professional Health Care Center in Hartford. Mrs. Ware was born in Daviess County, had retired from General Electric and was a member of Third Baptist Church, where she had been active in the AFC Sunday school class. Her parents, Joseph Henry and Sallie Gabbert Ridgway, preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Joseph Ellis “Joe” Ware of Owensboro; a nephew, Woodson Ridgway of West Liberty, Ohio; a niece, Susan Ridgway Thomas of Dayton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Macie Ridgway Wells of Owensboro; and two cousins, Imogene King and Fred Haley, both of Owensboro. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Glenn Funeral Home chapel and officiated by Dr. James Byrd of Third Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenbriar Cemetery in Utica.
