Sam Ware Obituary, 2008

BOXVILLE — Sam Ware, 86, Boxville, died at 6:17 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a lifelong farmer. He served as chaplain of American Legion Griggs-Alvey Post No. 48. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ware; a son, Charles Ware. Survivors include a son, Randy Ware of Clay; a sister, Alma Lou Sigler of Indianapolis, Ind.; a grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. The Rev. Garland Back will officiate. Burial will be in Boxville Oddfellows Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
