James Ware Obituary, 2015

James (Jim) Ware, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, in his home from a sudden illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Certified Celebrant Julie Freese. Internment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include his children, Andrea R. Ware of Sacramento, Calif., and Nicholas J. (Damena) Ware of Novato, Calif.; his father, Robert B. Ware of Cedar Rapids; his brother, Robert D. (LaVena) Ware of Loudon, Tenn.; and his sister, Ellen Lacy of Huntington Beach, Calif. Also surviving is his beloved dog, Bailey Jane. His mother, Louise Ware, preceded him in death. Jim was born June 26, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Robert B. and Louise (Custer) Ware. He was a 1967 graduate of Jefferson High School, attended Mankato State College and was a reservist in the United States Marine Corps. After more than 30 years traveling the country as an automotive sales & development consultant, he returned to Iowa to spend time with his father and work part-time with a great group at Home Depot. Jim was at his best spending time on the golf course with Bailey Jane riding caddy or being out on the lake. Jim will be fondly remembered for his great jokes, storytelling, making people laugh and spared no expense for the happiness of his family and friends.
