Mr. A.B. Ware, 83, departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospital in Spartanburg, S.C.

A.B. was born Nov. 29, 1930 to the late A.B. Ware Sr. and the late Carrie Ware.

He was a member of Cedar Grove AME Zion Church and retired from JP Stevens.

He was predeceased by his wife, Annie Mae Lola Ware; and one daughter, Sarah Diane Ware.

Mr. Ware is survived by three sons, Earl Ware (Geneva) of Whitmire, Thaddus Agnew of Newberry, and Willie Cannon (Verona) of Thomasville, N.C.; three daughters, Mary Hair and Carrie Ware, both of Spartanburg, and Rita Booker of Whitmire; a very special devoted friend, Ester Whitener of Carlisle; a sister-in-law, Agnes Rice of Newberry; 10 grandchildren, one special granddaughter reared in the home, Tammi Ware-Goggins (James); 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held be held on Monday, Jan. 27, at noon at Cedar Grove AME Zion Church located in Whitmire.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m.-noon prior to the service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hunter and Son Funeral Home of Whitmire.
