LEXINGTON – Services for Edward Martin Ware, 73, will be held at noon Saturday at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, conducted by the Reverend Dwayne Reece and Jim Kleckley, with burial in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 this (Friday) evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.

Mr. Ware died Thursday, March 22, 2001. Born in Carthage, Mich., he was a son of the late Willie and Esther Ware. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Mississippi National Guard with service in the Korean Conflict. Formerly of Mississippi, he had been a local resident since 1952 and retired as a self-employed construction sub-contractor.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Redd Ware of Lexington; daughter and son-in-law, Gilda Ware Miller and Donnie Ray Miller of Leesville; sisters, Hilda Horn and Reba Hayes, both of Carthage, Mich.; granddaughter, Brooke Ann Miller; a number of nieces and nephews.
