William Allen Ware Obituary, 2009

PROSPERITY – William “Bill” Allen Ware, 57, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on July 21, 1951 in Abbeville, he was a son of the late James Wayne and Katherine Woodhurst Ware. He was an employee of CSX Railroad.

Surviving are his wife, Anita Sightler Ware; a son, Travis Ware of Prosperity; a step-son, Chris (Lisa) Sightler of Pelion; sisters, Linda (Lew) Parker of Albany, Ga. and Pat (Lee) Turner of Newberry; three step-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Ware was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert “Bobby” Wayne Ware.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Mitchell VanMetre. Burial will follow in New-berry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Prosperity Church of God, PO Box 190, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers: Fred Cumalander, Hal Cromer, Randy Suber, Wayne Quattlebaum, Sam Tucker, Glenn Bickley and Jesse Lindler.

Honorary pallbearers: Employees of CSX.
