SUMMERVILLE – Memorial services for Bettye Joe Ware, 77, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will be private. Visitation is 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ware, widow of William Richard McKee, died Monday, April 30, 2001. Born in Web City, Okla., she was a daughter of the late Benson Worthington and Nina Lou Nuttle Worthington. She was a Baptist and owned restaurants in both Seattle, Wash. and Charleston.

Surviving are her son, Max McKee of Summerville; sister, Darlene Williamson of Kiln, Miss.; great niece, Lori Ann King. She was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
