Tom Norfleet Ware, born Sept. 11, 1928 in Kansas City, Jackson Co., Mo, died July 11, 2015 in Abilene, Ks. He was the son of Homer Edwin and Ermie Lee (Norfleet) Ware. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean and his sister, Ellen Dean Frazon and her husband Carl. He served in the Pacific Theatre in the Navy 1947, married several times, and had 2 daughters, Leann Bass and her husband Wylie, and Lynn Jacobson and her husband Neil, and one step daughter Dani Sue Ayers and her husband Don. He leaves 6 grandchildren, Douglas Bass and his wife Amber, Brandi Gebhart and her husband Weston, Jud Bass and his wife Amber, Bobbi Gordon, Chelsea Jacobson, Faelan Jacobson and 13 great grandchildren. Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Martin-Becker Carlson Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Norman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Hospice of Dickinson County and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
