Sybil Orene Ware Barnett, 82, of Crossett died Friday, June 11, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Born Sept. 17, 1921, in Ashley County, she was the daughter of James Monroe and Effie Stanley Ware. Mrs. Barnett was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crossett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Barnett.

Survivors include three sons, Leland and Betty Barnett of Crossett, Mike and Rosa Barnett of Searcy and Norman and Joyce Barnett of Shreveport, La.; two sisters, Opal Beasley of Conway and Lola Rodgers of Bastrop, La.; nine grandchildren, Debbie Parks, Lisa Skinner, Meleah Rainey, Donna Fuller, Donald Barnett, Patti Kitts, Lee Barnett, Michael Barnett and Carla Corkern; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, at First Baptist Church, Crossett. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
