Robert A. Ware, 73, Lake of the Woods, Locust Grove, Va., died Thursday at Falls Fun Nursing and Rehab Center. He was a former Portland resident. He was born in Portland to Edgar F. Ware and Ella Ware Estes, and is survived by his wife Gloria (Bair) Ware. He attended Ball State University and worked for 23 years at Service Master in Downer’s Grove, Ill., was vice-president of Capitol Division in Virginia and was owner of ServiceMaster franchises in Fredericksburg, Va., Virginia Beach, Va., and North Carolina. He retired in 1994. Memberships include Fredericksburg Baptist Church and Resurrection Lutheran Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Renee Busman (husband: Matt), and Sherri Ware; a sister, Barbara Teeters (husband: Mike), a brother-in-law; five grandchildren; two nephews and a niece. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. July 10 at Covenant Funeral Service in Fredericksburg, Va.
