SOUTH BEND – Bernyce A. Ware, 68, of Indianapolis, formerly of South Bend, died Thursday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, after an illness. Mrs. Ware retired in 1968 as a guidance counselor for the Indianapolis Public School System after 27 years of service. She was born Sept. 17, 1927, in South Bend. Her husband, Marshall Ware, preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Michelle A. Ware and Marcia L. Ware, both of Indianapolis; a son, Derek A.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Zion Baptist Church, Indianapolis. Burial will be at noon Thursday in Highland Cemetery. Summers Funeral Chapel, Indianapolis, is in charge of arrangements.
