
Funeral services for Cornelia Ware will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Committal service will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Cornelia, 110, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the St. Francis Nursing Home of Oberlin with her loving family by her side. She was born August 3, 1904 in Oakdale to Maslee Droddy and Susie Ware. She was Pentecostal by faith. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, great-great-great grandmother, great-great-great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Ware; four sons, Elathy Ware, Carl Ware, James Ware, Jr., and Alfred Ware, Sr.; six daughters, Louise Ware, Ellen Glenn, Lucille Bass, Eunice Willis, Betty Ebert, and Luna Coker.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her son, Appleton Ware of Oakdale; two daughters, Lucy Chamberlain of Oakdale and Pauline Coker of Jena; 77 grandchildren; 206 great grandchildren; 165 great-great grandchildren; 89 great-great-great grandchildren; 4 great-great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Jacob Jordan, Vernon Glenn, James Ware, Clint Duplechain, David Coker, and Randy Ebert. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Bill Ebert and Appleton Ware, Jr.
