A retired LPN and resident of Baton Rouge, Elaine Ware Fuentes died at Old Jefferson Community Care Center on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. She was 90, born in Baton Rouge on October 25, 1923, and was former longtime resident of Denham Springs. Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 865 Hatchell Lane, Denham Springs, on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at noon celebrated by the Rev. Phil Spano and the Rev. Frank Uter. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Patterson and husband Pat, Kathy Caruso and husband Sam, Kit Bourgeois and husband Howard; sons, Doug Fuentes and wife Mary, Ron Fuentes and wife Marlane, Mike Fuentes and wife Melanee, Greg Fuentes and wife Cindy; thirty-one grandchildren; sixty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Fuentes; mother, Emma Duhon Ware; father, W. P. Ware, Sr; brothers, Russell, John and W.P. Ware, Jr; daughter-in-law, Allie Mae Fuentes; grandson, Robbie Fuentes; and sister Emma Ware Duplessis. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Elaine’s family thanks the CNAs and the entire staff at Old Jefferson Community Care Center, Dr. Mary Safford and New Century Hospice for their loving care and compassion to our mother.
