Irving J. Ware Jr. Obituary, 2001

Irving J. Ware Jr., a retired truck driver for Reagan Equipment Co., died April 8 of respiratory failure at Touro Infirmary. He was 73. Mr. Ware was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and attended Dillard University. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of Good Timers Social and Pleasure Club. Survivors include a son, Irving Ware III; two daughters, Jyateia Faulk and Myra Ware; a stepson, James Hullum Jr.; two stepdaughters, Jeannette Wilson and Vicki Lynn Harris; one brother, Nelson R. Ware; three sisters, Blanche W. Dukes, Juanita P. Gillard and Lucille Dezara; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2212 Prentiss Ave. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. McMahon-Coburn-Briede is in charge of arrangements.
