Ware, Jessie Marie,Bay City, Michigan

Passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare, age 85 years.

Jessie was born in Portsmouth, Ohio July 18, 1925, the daughter of the late Walter and Marcella (McCory) Montgomery.  She married Clinton Ware August 25, 1947. He predeceased her June 19, 1995.  For many years, Jessie and Clinton owned and operated Ware Bike and Sports Center.  She enjoyed reading her bible, doing jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles.

Jessie is survived by seven children, Willet (Joan) Ware, Mary (Robert) Short, Betty Zins, Dorothy (Dwight) Weiss, Don (Jackie) Ware, Kathy Ware and Esther Hales; 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her brother, James Montgomery, her sister, Frances Montgomery; a half-sister, Juanita Montgomery; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Howard Montgomery and Paul William Montgomery.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Living Hope chapel, 1206 Malzahn.  Rev. Patrick lagan will officiate.  Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
