Madge Lindsey Ware Evans of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 27, 1918 in Mt. Olive, Arkansas the daughter of the late Robert Earl Lindsey and Sallie Russell Waits Lindsey.
She was a member of East End Baptist Church and had worked for many years at the East End Café. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, reading and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Evans died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at her home at Crown Point Assisted Living in Sheridan at the age of 97.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Ernest Lee Ware; daughter, Ernestine Haddock; son, Travis Ware; husband; James Evans; son-in-law, James Pruitt; sister, Juanita Clements and granddaughters, Kelly Ware and Donna Young.
Survivors: sons, Tommy and wife Lynne Ware of Glen Carbon, Illinois; Lynn Ware of Moss Point, Mississippi; daughters, Polly Pruitt of Grapevine, Janette and husband Myer Martin of French Settlement, Louisiana; 21 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in East End. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 5-7 P.M.
