MARGARET L. “PEG” WARE, 82, of North Manchester, formerly of Huntington, died Thursday at Peabody Retirement Home, North Manchester. Born in Huntington County, she retired in 1981 as a teacher after 37 years. She was a gymnastics coach. She was also the secretary for the YMCA swim team for 13 years and served as clerk for the Mile Swim and the YMCA nationals for nine years each. Surviving are her husband, Alvin Brice; two daughters, Ann Opal of Fort Wayne and Nancy Haberland of Plymouth; a son, Steve B. Ware of Monroe, Ohio; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. Services at 11 a.m. Monday at Hart Funeral Home, Huntington. Calling two hours before services. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Huntington. Memorials to Peabody’s Caring Circle or to Hospice of Huntington County.
