WARE, Mrs. Eliza Delphine “Aunt Doll” – Age 64, died Friday, January 10, 2003 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11AM Monday, January 20, 2003 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 12noon. Rev. Earl L. Willis officiating, Bishop Odis A. Floyd, Pastor. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Monday. Mrs. Ware now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed after 10AM today. Mrs. Eliza Delphine “Aunt Doll” Ware was born December 13, 1938 in Desoto County, Mississippi, the daughter of William and Roseatter Kirby. She had been a resident of Flint for 48 years. Mrs. Ware was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where she served on the building committee, and as secretary of the nurses guild. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Willie T. (Shirley R.) Kirby; 2 daughters, Joyce Kirby and April Bell; 6 grandchilren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 3 special nieces, Virginia Billups, Rose Howard, and Rev. Lillie Fenderson; special nephew, William “Ruff Hands” Cargo; 4 sisters-in- law; and 1 brother-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Betty Peery, and Bertha Barnes. Mrs. Ware was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Ware; 1 granddaughter; parents; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. The family would like to express special thanks to Rev. and Mrs. Earl Willis, Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, the PBS and Finance Departments of Hurley Medical Center, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Coney, Sharon Barbee, Bishop Odis A. Floyd and the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church.
