Roselee Huntie McMarion Ware, 72, died at 12 : 32 p . m . Tuesday, Sept . 19, 2006, in a local hospital . She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, where she grew up in the Brownsville community . She was a faithful member of First Community Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess board member, usher, choir member and vice president of the women ‘ s ministry ; she worked with the youth drill team and was a member of the mission . She was previously a member of New Light Baptist Church for more than 60 years . She received many rewards working with kids at Barbe Elementary under the leadership of its principal, Jean Mancuso . She volun – teered at Lake Charles Care Center for more than 25 years in singing activities . Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Ware, Norma ( Dan ) Arbuthnot and Chasity ( Roderick ) Bishop ; six sons, Abe, Kenneth ( Delores ) Ware, Palmer Ware Jr ., Willie ( Juanita ) Walker, Gay ( Sue ) McMarion and Bruce ( Theresa ) Lewis ; and two brothers, Solomon and Patrick McMarion . Her funeral will be at 7 p . m . today, Sept . 27, in First Community Baptist Church . The Rev . A . C . Jefferson will officiate . Visitation is from 5 p . m . in the church . Dismissal will be at 10 a . m . Thursday in Hi-Mount under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel .
