William L. Ware, Sr., 80, of Fortville, passed away on May 27, 2015.

William was known for his generous and giving spirit to all who knew him. He loved surrounding himself with family and friends. William enjoyed spending his time camping which was his pride and joy.

He retired from Indianapolis Power and Light from 41 years of service, as an overhead lineman. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and proudly served in the United States Airforce.

William is survived by his loving children, William Ware, Jr., Angela Albers (Roger), and Amy Jones (Barry); three grandchildren, Leslie Albers, David Jones, and Jacob Jones; sisters, BillieJean Newton and ShirleyAnne Kiger; brother, Eddie Flora and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, for 43 years, Nila Faye Ware; father, William Ware, Sr.; mother, Lorene Flora and sisters, Sue Flora and Paulette Kerns.

Family and friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, with funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015,  in Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
