Adelia G. Ware Obituary, 2005

PASSADUMKEAG – Adelia G. Ware, 95, wife of the late Ronald Ware, died Oct. 6, 2005, at her home. She was born April 6, 1910, in Passadumkeag, the daughter of Edgar and Adelia (Ogden) Mace. Mrs. Ware served as Postmaster in Passadumkeag for 40 years, retiring at the age of 80. She was a member of the Passadumkeag Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Ware) Vining and her husband, Robert, of Wells; a daughter-in-law, Blandine Ware of Passadumkeag; four grandchildren, Michael Ware and Lisa of Passadumkeag, Jane Brown and Thomas of Wisconsin, Melissa Dumont and Jeffrey of Hampden, and Jill Hooper and Steven of Bowdoinham; five great-grandchildren, Susan Brown, Katy Brown, Ali Hooper, Jorja Hooper, Matthew Dumont, Nicholas Ware and Ryan Ware; a half-brother, Edgar G. Mace of Hampden; two half-sisters, Joan Crosby of Passadumkeag and Jean Robinson of Milo; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Ronald, she was predeceased by a son, Thomas Ware; a grandson, Thomas Ware Jr.; and siblings, Raymond Mace, Irene Haynes Starbird, Edrie Lovett Lugdon, Winona White and Ethel Graves; a halfbrother, Gordon Mace and a half-sister, Virginia Saucier. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Gould’s Ridge Cemetery, with the Rev.
