Ivy Lee Ware Goff of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, formerly of Green County, daughter of the late Cary Uranius Ware and Ida Pearl Comer Ware, was born on October 29, 1911 in Taylor County and departed this life on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab Center. She was 98 years, one month and eleven days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was a former teacher for the Green County School System, Manager for the Hudgins Store and Post Mistress.

She united in marriage to Ralph Washington Goff who preceded her in death.

Survivors include a sister: Peggy Pyles of Campbellsville; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Goff was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Lenny Ware, James Ware, Elizabeth Stone, Ruth Bradshaw Shope, and William Ware.

The funeral services for Mrs. Ivy Ware Goff will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Bro. Kelvin Edwards will be officiating.
