James Ware Obituary
James Edward Ware, 82, loving husband of Mamie Hutchings Ware, died Sunday, October 26, 2008.

Born in Royston, Ga., he was a son of the late George Garnet and Terilla Roach Ware.

Mr. Ware was retired from Bausch & Lomb after 42 years and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. He was a charter member of 56 years at Oak Crest Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Ted Allen Ware Sr., Don Perry Ware and Wendy Lee Ware, all of Greenville; two grandchildren, Ted Allen Ware Jr. and Crystal D. Sizemore and husband, Blake; four great-grandchildren, Alexandria Camille Sizemore, Drayton Blake Sizemore, Cade Dean Ware and Damon Cage Sizemore; sister, Mary Helen Head and her husband, Bill, of Kingsport, Tenn.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lou and Mary Hutchings, their children and families; niece, Susan and Tim Lumpkin and their children of Ball Ground, Ga.

He was predeceased by a brother, George W. Ware.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West.

Memorials may be made to Oak Crest Baptist Church, “Embracing Our Destiny Fund”, 1 Alabama Ave., Greenville, SC 29611.

The family will be at the residence.
