John T. “Tom” Ware, Jr., 84, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Friday, September 19, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am, Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Florence Cemetery.

A veteran of both the U.S. Marines and the Air National Guard, Mr. Ware held membership in the American Legion Post # 112 and the VFW. He was also a member of Tyrian Masonic Lodge No. 427, Brandon. He retired from Yellow Freight after a lengthy career as a truck driver.

Survivors include wife Doris Ware; daughters, Debbie McCrory (Dallas) and Tammy Craft; son, Ronnie Ware; step-daughters, Wanda Hill and Charlotte Phillips; brother, Donnie Annis; grandchildren, Troy McCrory, Holly McCrory, Christian Craft, Corey Craft, Larry Hill, Jr., Christy Hill, Heather Martin and Brad Goolsby; and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marge Ware, daughter, Sandy Speaks, and grandchildren, Ashley Goolsby and Drake Ware.
