WARE, Karen 1957 2010 On August 10, 2010, Karen Ware (nee Zbitnew) passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Pasqua Hospital. Karen will be remembered for the courage and dignity that she displayed during her four year battle against cancer. Predeceased by her father Wesley Karchewski. Karen will be sadly missed by her husband Louis Marcil; and step-daughter Nicki; pets Annie, Mink, Birdie, Billie and Effy; mother Dolores Zbitnew; brother Mark; sisters Celeste, Gail (Monty) Moore, Lesley (Robin) Clark and Lesley Hunter; nephews Stephen, Ryan and Austin; nieces Donna, Michele, Brianna, Amanda and Samantha; special friends Kim and Corey Wright; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, 2275 Atkinson St., Regina, SK on Saturday, August 14 at 10:30 am, with Rev Marian Ogreko officiating. A PRIVATE INTERMENT for family will follow at the Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will take place at the Wa Wa Shrine Club, 2065 Hamilton Street, Regina, SK following the service. Special thanks to the staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre and the Palliative Care Unit of the Pasqua Hospital for their support. Karen’s fondness for animals will always be remembered and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7, would be appreciated.
