OBERLIN – Funeral mass for Nakia ” Nick ” Ware, 31, will be at 2 p . m . Tuesday, Oct . 10, 2006, in St . Joan of Arc Catholic Church . Deacon Norris Chap – man will officiate . Burial will be in Durio Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder . Visitation will be from 11 a . m . today in New Beginnings Assembly of God Church, with a Scripture reading at 6 : 30 p . m . and a rosary at 7 p . m . The church will remain open all night . Nick was a resident of Oberlin and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers . He died Sunday, Oct . 8, in Oberlin . Survivors include his mother, Aline Carrier of Ober – lin ; maternal grandmother, Rosa Belle Carrier of Oberlin ; and paternal grandparents, Elathey Sr . and Carrier Ware of Mamou . He was preceded in death by his father, Elathey Ware Jr .
