George W. Ware, Jr., Tucson, Arizona, donated his papers to the Special Collections Division in April 1984.
George W. Ware, Jr., received a B.S. degree in agriculture in 1951 and a M.S. in entomology in 1952. After receiving his Ph.D. in entomology and pathology from Kansas State University in 1957, Ware spent ten years as an extension specialist and professor with Ohio State University. He then moved to the University of Arizona as professor and head of the Department of Entomology. He has published several reference books and articles on pesticides and insect control.
The collection contains reprints of Ware’s articles published in various scientific journals and research circulars.
