ODESSA – Jo Berry, 87, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at the Hospice House. She was born Jan. 5, 1922, in Rising Star. She was a retired sales clerk for Strike It Rich. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Berry; son, Marion Arthur Berry; two grandsons; and a granddaughter. She is survived by her son, Robert Berry of Mineral Wells; daughters, Carol Kilpatrick of Big Spring, Barbara Berry, Melba Conn and Johnny Torrez, all of Odessa; brother, O. C. Ware of Crockett, Texas; sisters, Lynn Byrd of San Angelo, Mary McDaniel of Petersburg, Texas, and Bett Smith of Abilene; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Mark Coggins officiating. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
