John M. Ware, 69, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011, at his home in Excelsior Springs. John was born Nov. 22, 1941, to Nathan Henry and Nina Lois Leeka Ware. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 2004. John was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Eagles Lodge. He also attended the Lawson Assembly of God Church before his illness. John was preceded in death by his parents; a stillborn son, Wayne Merrill Ware; and two sisters, Carol Wartenbee and Lois Jones. Survivors include: his son, John N. Ware, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; daughters, Cynthia Brelsford, Excelsior Springs, and Terri and husband, Greg Novini, Ozark, Mo.; former wife, Sharon Bush, of Lawson, Mo.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Marsha White and Lee Janice Brink, both of Excelsior Springs; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 20, at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 21 at the funeral home, with burial following at Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
