Lillian Ware, 76, Independence, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Research Hospital, Kansas City.
Mrs. Ware was born Jan. 6, 1926, in Union Town, Pa. She had lived in this area since 1985. She was a cook and served for Lunch Partners in Independence.
Her survivors include nine children, Nancy Sandra Bey, Fredrick Aaron Ware, Herbert Lee Ware, all of Independence, Carol Sue Wright, Cookeville, Tenn., Linda Marie Cain, Pittsburgh, Joseph Clark Ware, Pasadena, Calif., Doris Shanon McLean, Cheektowaga, N.Y., Martha Childress, Whittier, Calif., and Debora Jean Ware, Long Beach, Calif.; nine brothers and sisters, Alma English and Dorothy Hall, both of Independence, Edward Johnson, Willow Grove, Pa., Daniel Johnson, Philadelphia, Leroy Johnson, Akron, Ohio, Love Lee Pitts, San Diego, Fannie Brown, Pittsburgh, Paul Johnson, Upper Darby, Pa., Virginia Johnson, Pittsburgh; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hill Cumorah Restoration Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ, 4516 Phelps Road, Independence. Friends can visit from 7 until 8:30 p.m. tonight at the church. The family suggests contributions be made to the New Salem Funeral Home, 1823 Blue Mills Road, Independence, Mo. 64058 to help with expenses.
