Mr. Nathan Henry Ware, 82, Excelsior Springs, MO, died Monday, October 5, 1998, at the home of his daughter, Marsha White. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 8, at the Prichard Chapel, Excelsior Springs, MO; burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs. The family will greet friends and relatives 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Casketbearers are grandsons, Les & Sam Wartenbee, Barry & Brad Brink, Johnny Ware and Eric & Jeff White. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Excelsior Springs Quarterback Club.
Mr. Ware was born December 20, 1915, in Excelsior Springs, MO, the son of John Newton & Leoma Grace Puckett Ware. He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1934 and attended Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville, MO, transferring after his second year to the University of Chattanooga. He retired in 1981 from Trailmobile in North Kansas City after 40s wife, Kathryn Ware, of the home; a son, John Ware; three daughters, Carol Wartenbee, Lee Janice Brink and Marsha White; and stepdaughter, Linda McCubbin, all of Excelsior Springs, MO; 12 grandchildren, Les Wartenbee, Carol Templeton, Julie Cazzell, Beth Gatlin, Sam Wartenbee, Nancy Hardesty, Marsha Alexander, Barry Brink, Brad Brink, Johnny Ware, Eric White and Jeff White; five stepgrandchildren, Terry Brelsford, Cindy Long, Tony White, Tim White and Sheila Roberts; 14 great-grandchildren; 18 stepgreat-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 46 years, Nina; a daughter, Lois Jones; and two grandsons, Jimmy Wartenbee and Terry Jones.
