William “Bill” Ware, 80, Excelsior Springs, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010. Mr. Ware was born April 1, 1930, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Glen and Opal Peebles Ware. He was a lifelong resident of Excelsior Springs. He was employed at Ford Motor Company and was a member of the Quarterback Club, serving as president in 1975. He attended the Methodist church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his grandson, Nicholas Jackson; sisters, Jean Beason and Nancy Shearer; and an infant brother. Survivors include his daughters, Denise Bedford and Kim Jackson; sisters, Pat Wartenbee, Glenda Pulse and Judy Swope; brother, Gary Ware; and other relatives. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Excelsior Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the Quarterback Club.
