Cleda Everett Ware, 80, of Brandon, passed from this life Thursday, June 14, 2012, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Visitation was held from 12 p.m. until service time Friday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Friday, June 15, 2012, at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee. Burial was in Sharon Presbyterian Cemetery.
Mrs. Ware was a teacher of 33 years. She taught in Canton, Natchez, Mt. Olive, Magee and Jackson school districts. Her love for children did not stop there; she donated her time to care for babies at church as well as local and national charities. Mrs. Ware was an active member of Alpha Delta Kappa for many years serving in various capacities. She was an avid flower gardener whose specialty was raising orchids. Mr. & Mrs. Ware loved traveling here and abroad together. Mrs. Ware was extremely devoted to her family.
Mrs. Ware is survived by her husband of 59 years, George Ware, Brandon; daughter, Jan Batson (Calvin), Pearl; grandchildren, Carmen Humphrey (Ron) and Joey Nelms both of Pearl; great-granddaughter, Emmalyn Grace Humphrey and brother, Tay Everett (Dot), Vicksburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, W.H. Everett & Vida Stubbs Everett; one brother, Judene Everett and an infant sister.
Pallbearers were Joey Nelms, Ron Humphrey, Paul Ware, David Ware, Mark Whittington and Dr. Don Huang.
