Ms. George, 73, died of heart failure Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Crystal Health and Rehab.
She was a member of Friendship M.B. Church and was retired from National Picture and Frame after 22 years.
She is survived by three sons, Yvonne Ware of Trenton, New Jersey, and David Thomas and Charles Thomas, both of Greenwood; four daughters, Stella Jones, Jerry Ware, Kimberly May and Crystal Branch, all of Greenwood; six sisters, Mary Ware and Stella Conrad, both of Detroit, Leatrice Huggins of Greenwood, Doris Ware of Charleston, Annette Ware Jernigan of San Bernardino, California, and Barbara Ware of Grenada; five brothers, Charles Branch of Carrollton, Lee Ware Jr. of Starkville, Floyd Ware of Chula Vista, California, Willie Ware of Greenwood and Carl Ware of Jacksonville, Florida; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home. The body will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the services.
The Rev. Valmadge T. Towner will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Vermel Randle, Swanson Outlaw, Edward McCain, Steven Wilson, Travis Anderson, Demetrius George and Arthur Ware.
Honorary pallbearers will be Yvonne Ware, David Thomas, Charles Thomas, Willie Ware, Charles Branch, Floyd Ware, Lee Ware Jr. and Carl Ware.
Burial will be in Hudson Park Cemetery.
