WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – Jim Ware, 74, died of heart failure Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at his West Memphis home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Anthony-West Memphis Funeral Home, followed by burial in Paradise Garden in Edmondson, Ark. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Ware was a retired custodian for the West Memphis School District.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ware of West Memphis; two daughters, Barbara J. Stringfellow of West Memphis and Gloria Crowder of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a brother, Wesley Ware of Lambert; three sisters, Mary Smith of Lambert, Lula Washington of Clarksdale and Frances Hogan of Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
