Laura Ware, a homemaker for 65 years, died Thursday at Mt. Diablo Medical Center, Concord. She was 81.
The native of Madera lived in Bay Point for 15 years. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church, Pittsburg. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing.
She is survived by her daughters, Maria Baze of Pierce, Idaho, and Lynda G. Hartzell of Bay Point; sons, Craig Ware of Madera and Frank Ware of Fresno; sister, Betty Cook of Chico; brothers, William Irwin of Sacramento, Don Irwin of Madera and Jim Irwin of Ventura; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband, Otis, died in 1970 and daughter, Rosalie Wood, in 1949.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Pentecostal Church, Madera, with burial at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera. 2 to 8 p.m. visitation Monday at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel.
