LAKE — Services for Mary Elizabeth Ware, 66, who died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Rush Hospital in Meridian, were held Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with burial in Pace Cemetery. The Revs. Larry Laird and Victor Bugg officiated. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ware was a native and lifelong resident of Newton County. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.

Her parents, Robert and Mary Hollingsworth, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Edward Ware of Lake; one son, Alan Ware of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Gail Ware of Lake and Sharon Dziadik of Suwanee, Ga.; one sister, Betty Lynn Jordan of Lawrence; one brother, J.B. Hollingsworth of Germantown, Tenn.; two grandchildren, John Mark Ware and Derek Dziadik; and a number of other family and friends.

Pallbearers were Marshall Duell Jr., Marvin Duell, Vince Edwards, Jason Mitchell, Otho Herrington, Prentiss Bounds, Jerry Nester and James Taylor.
